Overview:

This 8-week program aims to empower girls to gain the confidence, problem solving skills, and social awareness necessary to survive THRIVE in their teenage years. Whether your teenage girl is struggling to make connections with peers, understand how to navigate challenging social dynamics in school, or in need of an empowerment and self-esteem boost, this group is for her.

We will meet weekly to learn and practice problem solving strategies to navigate the frustrating, awkward, and difficult girl specific
challenges that are often faced during the teenage years. With targeted focuses on exploring self awareness, developing coping and distress tolerance skills, learning the importance of internet and social media safety and more, the girls in this group will gain confidence in their ability to manage the ups and downs of life, while building positive connections with other girls along the way.

Group Information:

Wednesday evenings, 5-6pm
Girls ages 13-17
$50 per individual session registration; $350 to register for all sessions
Must sign up at least 48 hours in advance of session start                                                                                                                                          Minimum of 3 registrations needed for each session to run; maximum of 6 girls per group

**All groups will take place from 5pm-6pm in the conference room on the 3rd floor of our office building, 20220 Center Ridge Road, Rocky River, OH 44116.

June 12th- Understanding and building healthy relationships
June 19th- Social communication skills
June 26th- Self awareness
July 10th- Body Image
July 24th- Healthy coping skills and distress tolerance
July 31st- Internet and social media safety
August 7th- Navigating setbacks and conflict resolution
August 14th- Self esteem and confidence building

Maggie Strippy, LPC:

Maggie Strippy is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Intervention Specialist under the Supervision of Liz Wolanski, LPCC-S, with over 8 years of experience in both school and clinical settings. Maggie uses a client-centered approach in her therapeutic practice in order to meet the needs of school-aged children wherever they are at. Using a whole-child mindset,

Maggie focuses on helping children to develop helpful vs. harmful thinking patterns, positive coping skills to navigate challenges of school and home life, and pro-social behaviors to increase healthy relationships and communication.
